I love coming to The Italian Bakery anytime I'm in Maine visiting family! The cream horns and bizmarks are my absolute favorite! The pastry it's self is delicious, light, and crispy. The filling is sweet but not overly sweet. It's a delicious smooth cream filling. The Bismark is also amazing, the pastry is so light and airy, the cream is amazing and smooth, I love the raspberry filling, but the blueberry is equally delicious! I have never gotten anything I haven't liked!

Prices are unbeatable! The food is top notch, most people go here for donuts, (they beat DD prices) but the pizzas,sub,breakfast sandwiches are equally delicious.

This is the go to place for anyone looking for delicious, authentic Italian delicacies as well as delicious sandwiches, breads, and other lunch and dinner options to take out. Their tiramisu selection is amazing. Also offered is a full donut selection rivaling any other donut shop in both selection as well as quality and taste. Prices are very reasonable considering the quality of their products.

I am absolutely floored by my visit today (12/23/23). I had pre-ordered a large pastry platter for Christmas. When I picked up the platter....it looked like it had been thrown together quickly with no care. I would normally just accept the situation as a one time occurrence....as there pastries have been A+ in the past. Unfortunately, it was made worse by a rude cashier....who was not interested in being polite and rushed me out the door. As such....I will need to start visiting other bakeries for my future purchases.

I decided to start a new tradition at work. I would buy donuts, muffins, and bagels for my team every Saturday. I thought the best place to go would be the Italian bakery. NOPE!!! Nat the person who was at the counter (won't say the person who helped me because that was the last thing she did). Was rude and made me feel like my questions and ordering were an inconvenience. I was sooo disappointed!! I always loved coming to the Italian Bakery. This experience just ruined it for me. Especially this time of year when everyone should be joyful and happy. Bahhh Humbug Scrooge Nat.

I recently came up from Boston to visit my hometown of Lewiston. Brandon is doing an amazing job. I filled a box of pastries and I devoured the whole thing. It’s impressive the selection they have. This is such a great business for the community. staff was also very friendly and was very helpful.

The mix berry tort is amazing and a must try! I love my visits here and highly recommend everything, especially the cannoli!

50 years in business. OMG their original real Italian is the absolute best. Lobster Tails are the bomb including the Eclairs with bacon. Pot pies full. Have been going there since the 80's.
